What Music Taste Analyzer collects (almost nothing), what stays in your browser (everything), and how share links work.

Last updated: 2026-10-19

What this policy covers

Music Taste Analyzer analyzes the artists you select — not your listening history. The core promise is simple: your selections never leave your browser. All computation runs locally on your device, inside this website.

Your artist selections

When you search for and select artists, everything happens in your browser. There is no upload endpoint, no database of selections, and no account system. Closing the tab forgets everything; only explicit share links persist what you chose.

Share links

Share and invite links encode a compact list of the artist IDs you picked (names you already post publicly). They contain no accounts, emails, identifiers, timestamps or tracking pixels. Anyone opening the link sees the same result recomputed on their own device.

Product events

We may use anonymous, aggregate product events — such as "tool started" or "result viewed" — to understand whether the tools work. These events never contain artist names, selections or any personal data.

Technical information

Like most websites, we receive limited technical request information (timestamps, browser headers, error details) needed to operate and protect the service.

Optional AI narration

If AI narration is enabled on a deployment, the artists you selected are sent to the configured AI provider solely to generate your text. This is opt-in per click and off by default.

Changes

We will update this page if the product changes, with the date at the top of each page section always visible.
